About our SID activities

For Safer Internet Day (SID) 2020, we will be sharing the material provided by the SID team with our followers on social media and on our website and we'll gladly support organisations or schools who approach us with ideas for SID actions with expertise.

What we are doing to support the SID 2020 slogan of "Together for a better internet"…

Our main goal is to empower children and young people in using digital media in a responsible and safe way. We encourage parents to closely accompany their children's activities and professionals to keep their eyes and ears open for the questions and ideas of young people.

About the organisation

The National Platform Youth and Media is a service provided by the Federal Social Insurance Office (Child and Youth Issues Section). On behalf of the Federal Council, we pursue the goal of ensuring that children and young people use digital media safely and responsibly. We are active in the field of regulatory child and youth media protection as well as in the educational field, where we promote media literacy, and provide information for parents and professionals working with young people.
