Cyprus

The Ministry of Education in Cyprus and the Cyprus Safer Internet Center work with the support of major national stakeholders in Cyprus to create a safe internet culture and empowering creative, innovative and critical citizens in the digital society.

In particular, the Ministry of Education in Cyprus and the Cyprus Safer Internet Center are continuing to provide rich educational programs in Cyprus, aiming at developing children's skills in relation to Digital and Media Literacy, as well as building knowledge and shaping attitudes regarding the responsible, creative and safe use of the Internet and other technologies:

The participation of students in Ministry of Education in Cyprus and the Cyprus Safer Internet Center programs contributes quite effectively to a better and deeper understanding and learning of the safe, creative and responsible use of the Internet.

Moreover, students, through their own messages and actions, contribute to a better internet for children, reinforcing the educational objectives of creating a safe internet culture and empowering creative, innovative use of the internet.

The Ministry of Education in Cyprus and Cyprus Safer Internet Center are also updating and enriching digital content and resources providing a wealth of educational / information materials, resources and tools for children, teachers and parents to help them use digital and internet technologies in a safe and creative way.
