Children and Media
The resource consist of an handbook, teaching module and a student quiz. The handbook, intended for parents and teachers introduces various viewpoints to be considered in relation to media use among children of primary school age. This handbook was originally written by the Finish SIC, as part of the Media Literacy Week project in 2014, and adapted by the Icelandic SIC the same year. The teaching module, called "To understand and evaluate online content" is a 45 min lesson plan with teachers guidelines. The student quiz consists of 20 questions on media literacy skills.
