Cyberbullying – First Aid App
The Cyberbulling First Aid App was developed and programmed by a group of media scouts (16/17 years old) advised by klicksafe mentor Stefanie Rack. The app aims to help victims of cyberbullying. It should address young people emotionally and refer to their daily life and usage habits ‐ which means they are using apps and mobiles permanently (24/7). The First Aid App is intended to give victims through “helping videos” the feeling that they are not alone and point out opportunities where to find quick and efficient help in the services were the bullying happened (find delete, report buttons etc.). Short video sequences and screenshot tutorials consider the fact that these days videos and pictures might attract young people more than written text. For the helping videos the group was supported by two actors of a youth theatre nearby (www.nanotheater.de).
