App developers play their part for a better internet
- App Developers Alliance
Following Safer Internet Day 2016, we've heard from a number of SID Supporters on how they marked the day. Here, we hear from The Application Developers Alliance:
"The Application Developers Alliance participated for the first time this year in Safer Internet Day; an impressive undertaking involving schools, businesses, companies, charities and NGOs to ensure the internet is a safe, educational environment for children.
"It was a great experience to take part in such an important global event, participating in the social media discussions and doing our part to make the internet an even safer and more enjoyable place for kids of all ages. We will keep spreading the ‘Better Internet for Kids' messages, collaborating with developers and raising awareness about the importance of digital education among young users, their families and educators.
"Digital empowerment for all ages will create the safest internet environment possible.
"We will be a proactive supporter of the 2017 Safer Internet Day and we at the Alliance, and our members, are excited to contribute to making the internet a better place both now, and looking forward."
