The SafeLine 2018 Annual Report is out

SafeLine, the Greek hotline, recently published its 2018 Annual Report.

The annual report contains the 2018 statistics and trends from 2011-2018. It also explains the operations of the hotline (in particular, the procedure for report processing) and how it collaborates with partners.

Some of the highlights of the annual report include:

  • An increasing number of reports received; the ratio of actioned to actionable reports is almost 80 per cent.
  • An increase in child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and financial fraud reports.

SafeLine is the only non-police internet hotline in Greece that accepts reports for illegal online content. It started operations on 14 April 2003 with the support of the European Union and has received EU support since that time. It is now celebrating 15 years of operation.
