Greek hotline SafeLine publishes its annual report

The Greek hotline SafeLine has published its 2017 annual report, which focuses on the statistical data and the trends observed during the period 2011-2017.

The amount of cases reported to SafeLine has increased since 2011. In 2017, the hotline received 4,300 reports. The number of reports that can be or are prosecuted rose by eight per cent every year. In 2017, they represented approximately 70 per cent of all reports received by SafeLine. Finally, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), financial fraud and personal data violation all showed a significant increase over the period.

Other information included in the annual report involve online safety tips; report processing; working with LEA and the industry; removal of CSAM and notice-and-takedown. Read the full SafeLine 2017 annual report here (in Greek) or here (in English).
