Luxembourg celebrates Safer Internet Day 2016

Safer Internet Day 2016 was celebrated across the globe on Tuesday, 9 February. In our round up of events and activities which took place to mark the day, we hear from the Luxembourgish Safer Internet Centre (SIC) who coordinate the campaign in the country:

"In Luxembourg, more than a hundred kids participated in the second edition of the ‘DigiRallye', a fun tour through 12 different stations combining creative, inspirational and intelligent challenges, all keeping with the motto ‘Play your part for a better internet'.

"Even the press enjoyed the rallye after they had initially come to a BEE SECURE press conference, where new pedagogical material for children, parents and teachers was presented.

"A radio show on the topic of ‘Safer Internet', a couple of workshops in nurseries and youth houses as well as a ‘Digital Privacy Salon' in a nearby hackerspace with more than 30 participants marked the end of SID 2016 in Luxembourg."
