All educational materials developed by the Greek Safer Internet Centre (SIC) and available on the website, as well as all informative events organised by the SIC in elementary and secondary schools throughout the country, now fall under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.

How to use the new educational materials according to Greek Ministry of Education

The Ministry's decision states that, at the discretion of individual educators, the educational materials may be:

  • incorporated into class work in subject modules;
  • offered as extension to the ICT course;
  • offered in the Flexible Teaching Zone for elementary schools;
  • or offered in the Health Education programme for secondary education.

What you can find on the site

The Greek SIC's extensive range of educational materials includes presentations, brochures, videos, posters, e-books, quizzes, lesson plans, webinars and informative articles. It is aimed at students of all educational levels. The educational materials have been created for parents, carers and educators, as well as students with special educational needs.

On, visitors can find materials related to the safe use of the internet and social networks which can in turn be used to inform children and young people in an interactive way. This informational portal is intended for both parents and educators, as well as adolescents and children.

In line with the aforementioned developments, the Greek SIC initiated the preparation of specialised guides on internet safety for students of all educational levels. As requested by the Ministry of Education, these will be incorporated into the school curriculum.
