For the eleventh time already, experts from all over Europe will gather to discuss both the biggest safety threats on the internet as well as the latest trends and possibilities for using new technologies by children and young people. The 11th International Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online" will take place on 19-20 September 2017 in Warsaw, Poland. The event is jointly organised by the Polish and German Safer Internet Centres (SICs).

Sessions will be led by recognised international experts in the field of child protection. This year's conference programme will include, among others, issues relating to fake news, the Internet of Toys, online aggression, pornography and sexting. The agenda of the event will also cover topics linked to positive online content for children and youth. Moreover, the conference will provide an opportunity to learn about the results of the latest studies concerning online safety.

The event is mainly addressed to representatives of the education sector, NGOs, law enforcement agencies, and internet service and content providers. The co-organiser of the conference is the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the main partner of the event is the Orange Foundation.

Those interested in attending are invited to complete the online application form before the registration deadline of Wednesday, 6 September 2017. Participation in the conference is free of charge, however the organisers cannot cover travel and accommodation costs for delegates.

Further information is available from www.saferinternet.pl/conference or contact conference@saferinternet.pl.
