The Danish Safer Internet Centre has continued its Safer Internet Day 2017 campaign activities with the release of the third and final video spot in a series of three.

Following on from the success of the first spot titled "Uploaded" and the second spot titled "Movie Night", this spot titled "Privacy" addresses the issues of young people wanting to have their privacy respected when online.

In this spot, 11-year-old "Munchkin" is innocently watching a video on his tablet when his mother returns home. Sensing his reluctance to let her see what's on his screen, his mother starts to panic that he might be watching all manner of inappropriate content. In reality, all Munchkin wanted was a little privacy to watch the new season of one of his favourite show!

The Danish youth ambassador panel, "SoMe Youth Panel", consists of ten young people (six girls and four boys) aged 13-18. They have been recruited from around Denmark with representation from different demographic, ethnic and socio-economic groups and with no special prerequisites for participation other than being young, and being prepared to take part in the workshops and to be the voice of a generation in different contexts. In recruiting young people for the youth panel, the Danish Safer Internet Centre (SIC) benefitted from the great network of schools that Save the Children Denmark (SCDK) and the Centre for Digital Youth Care (CDYC) have built throughout the years of working in the field.
