In this edition, COFACE reports on an expert meeting on digitalisation and children's use of the internet. Organised by COFACE member AGF in Germany on 3 July 2017, the meeting looked at what has already been done to make the internet a safer place for children at EU level especially, but also in some Member States (Estonia, Denmark and Germany). The meeting also tried to establish which additional measures are needed and which key players should be involved in the process.

Also in its roundup of member news, COFACE reports on the recent launch of the ComBuS mobile application: a new, innovative tool against bullying, developed by KMOP in Greece. Despite efforts at national and European level, bullying appears to be an escalating challenge. The ComBuS (Combat Bullying: A Whole School Program) project has been designed to empower students, teachers, school staff, school leaders and parents to effectively combat bullying and create healthy and safe school communities. The central aim of ComBuS is to increase capacity and raise awareness in combating bullying by providing face-to-face, online and mobile methodologies, tools and activities.
