Finnish hotline is awarded the Finnish National Crime Prevention Prize

The work of the Finnish Hotline, Nettivihje, has recently won the Finnish National Crime Prevention Prize and will represent Finland in the European Crime Prevention Award (ECPA) in Tallinn, Estonia in December 2017.

This is a great recognition of the work that the Finnish Hotline has been undertaking for 13 years, and an important message highlighting that preventing online child sexual exploitation (CSE) and abuse is among the top priorities within crime prevention.

In commenting on the award, a spokesperson from the Finnish Hotline stated that: "a special thanks must be given to the long and persistent work put in by stakeholders, also to be congratulated for their ongoing strong and close international co-operation. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of you, our INHOPE colleagues, for the important work we are all doing at INHOPE. A day like this shows that our work is not only needed, but also appreciated by our Ministries of Justice."
