The Digital Youth Forum (DYF) is an event designed for youth, by youth and about youth. It focusses on online safety and creative and innovative uses of new technologies as an alternative to risky online behaviours. This year's edition will take place on 17 May 2018 in Warsaw, Poland. A total of 450 participants are expected to attend, 400 of which will be teenagers aged 14–17.

Do you know a young person who inspires everyone around them? Are you aware of an exceptional young person who uses new technologies to help others or to promote social initiatives? Or maybe you know a successful blogger or YouTuber who would like to share his or her experiences with their peers? If so, please contact dyf@digitalyouth.pl. The speaker would be required to deliver a 15-minute presentation (approximately) in English.

The objectives of the DYF more generally are:

  • to talk about online safety in an attractive and inspiring way.
  • to promote creative use of new technologies.
  • to foster creativity, innovation and efficacy in the field of new technologies and internet.
  • to empower, inspire and motivate.
  • to introduce role models and mentors.
  • to provide opportunities for collaborations and networking.
  • to support youth activism incorporating online tools and new technologies.

The event will take place at the Copernicus Science Centre – as the largest science centre in Poland and one of the most advanced in Europe, it is a very attractive location among youth. More information about the event and speakers (in Polish) is available at www.digitalyouth.pl.
