Parents worry about how they can keep their children safe online. The purpose of this guide is to provide them with some basic knowledge and advice in order to help them with their important role of educating their children on the safe and responsible use of the internet.

In particular, this guide aims to provide information on the positive and indicative use of the internet by age groups (pre-school, school and adolescence). It also provides information on the risks online, giving useful tips on how to talk with children and how to help them use the internet safely and responsibly.

The parents' guide has been sent to all parents of children currently in years 5 and 6 of elementary school and in year 1 of secondary school through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth.

You can find the parents' guide on the website of the Cyprus SIC.
