Safer Internet Day 2016: Are you up for the challenge?

The SID campaign keeps on growing year on year, with social media playing a more significant role than ever. For example, on Safer Internet Day 2015, 60 million people were reached with the hashtag #SID2015.

Next year, we aim to reach a higher number still using the official hashtag #SID2016 and by involving the social media community in a Twitter challenge to spread the word about the event. The Twitter challenge encourages use of two secondary hashtags:  #Iplaymypart and #playyourpart

How does the Twitter challenge work?
We're asking you to share a tweet with the Safer Internet Day community detailing what you're planning to do to help create a better internet… and to ask your friends to do the same!

Your friends would then respond to you with their plans to similarly play their part in creating a better internet, and engage other Twitter users too:
With this challenge, we aim to trigger a chain of responses to raise help raise awareness of of the different ways we can all contribute to creating a safer and better internet. Are you up for the challenge?
