Drafted by experts in the field, the report reflects in detail on the entire online safety situation in Albania for children and young people. The cases reported on a daily basis at the national platform www.ISIGURT.al show that the number of children and young people falling victims to cyberbullying, identity theft, sexual violence and coercion is growing every year.
The National Forum will analyse the response from the government, civil society, teachers and the industry to create a safe online environment while raising awareness among children and adolescents.
The forum is organised by the National Safer Internet Centre of CRCA Albania, the National Hotline for Online Child Safety, in collaboration with the National Child Helpline, Child and Youth Policy Hub Albania.
The major speakers of the forum come of the National Agency on Child Protection, National Police Authority, independent internet regulator (AKEP) and key internet industry representatives in Albania.
Albania joined Safer Internet Day in February 2005. Since then, many things have changed and improved. The Albanian National Safer Internet Centre was established in 2018, quite an extraordinary achievement for a small country like Albania.
