"We're celebrating the start of a new school year by publishing new digital material for every educational grade on our website at SaferInternet4Kids.gr. The website can be used as a tool in the classroom or at home to strengthen children's knowledge on how to navigate safely online.

"More specifically, following the success of the video titled "Online safety with simple words", well-known characters Athena and Hermes enter new adventures and explain to young children what cyberbullying is and how they can handle such incidents. Through a new animated video, "Cyberbullying with simple words", young children can have fun learning how to protect themselves and their friends.

"In addition, through a "Back to school" pack containing brochures and posters for primary and secondary schools, children are provided with a whole host of information and guidelines on what to watch out for in order to be safe on the internet. All "Back to school" materials can be viewed here.

"An ally for parents (and for the children themselves) who want to set limits on the time spent connected can be found in the informative leaflet on self-management of online time. Through the brochure, the Greek SIC presents a range of applications that have smart settings to remind users of the limits they have to set themselves to achieve better self-management of time. The brochure can be downloaded here.

"The Greek SIC is also pleased to announce the launch of a new knowledge game created by SaferInternet4Kids, based on the Quizdom platform (a well-known game applications). The game contains over 600 questions categorised in terms of internet security, computers, and general knowledge of technology. The aim of the game is to entertain and, at the same time, enrich knowledge about internet safety as well as teaching children how to protect themselves when exploring the digital world. To play, download the Quizdom app for Android or iOS and join the group "saferinternet4kids".

"Along with the knowledge game in Quizdom, a series of online quizzes have also been created using the same philosophy: they help children to learn about internet security in a fun way. The online quizzes can be viewed here."
