Internet Governance Forum 2016

The annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the internet.

The 2016 edition of IGF, with a theme of ‘Enabling Inclusive and Sustainable Growth', was held at the PALCCO Centre from 6-9 December 2016 in Jalisco, Mexico. The 2016 overall programme was built in a bottom-up manner in consultation with the growing IGF multistakeholder community, with an aim to enhance capacity building and participation from stakeholders from developing countries, youth and those joining the IGF online.

As in previous years, the delegation hosted an Insafe-INHOPE booth, while also implementing a Safer Internet Day Polaroid campaign. On Wednesday, 7 December 2016, Insafe and INHOPE organised a workshop titled "Is personal data ‘mine' or there to be ‘mined'?".
