Experts from all over Europe will gather to discuss a broad spectrum of issues related to the safety of children and young people on the internet. This year's conference programme will include, among other topics, information threats and online radicalisation, selected negative online phenomena and their prevention, mental wellbeing of the youth, gender-stereotypical behaviour online. Patostreaming – A new concern for Polish parents and educators

The internet as a medium is often hailed as an invention facilitating creative, personal expression. However, even tools designed to empower can be used for nefarious purposes. Some creators of web content find their niche market thanks to their willingness to do almost anything to become the centre of attention. This is the case with "Patostreaming", a new type of online threat in Poland. According to a 2018 "Nastolatki 3.0" (Teenagers 3.0) study, almost a quarter of Polish students aged 15 and 17 have watched such content.

Safer Internet Day in Poland – The power of local involvement

On Tuesday, 11 February 2020, Poland managed to beat its 2019 record number of local initiatives organised on Safer Internet Day (SID). The SID 2020 campaign has resulted in 4,600 institutions actively involved in undertaking online safety-related initiatives. Nearly 900,000 children, youth, parents and teachers participated in SID actions throughout the country.
