Back to school 2020: well prepared with klicksafe

The school year 2020/2021 will not start like any other. COVID-19 is still the dominating topic and whether a regular operation of schools under special conditions linked to the pandemic will succeed remains to be seen. One thing is already clear however: this year, teachers will have to deal more closely with the topics of digitisation and internet use. School visit in Berlin by Commissioner Mariya Gabriel and film director Wim Wenders

JIM study 2018: 20 years of research on media use of young people

With a high-level event on 28 November 2018, the Pedagogical Media Research Centre Southwest mpfs (Medienpädagogischer Forschungsverbund Südwest) celebrated the 20 year anniversary of the JIM study (Jugend, Information, Medien – Youth, Information, Media). The representative, long-term study has been mapping the media use of young people (12 to 19 years old) in Germany each year since 1998.

German Youth Panel creates a flyer for youngsters to "stay safe and survive online"

The klicksafe Youth Panel published its flyer "How to Stay Safe and Survive Online" in July 2018. It consists in a complete set of concrete, tried-and-true tips for digital life and survival based on the youth panellists' personal experiences as teenagers online.

New representative study presents results of media usage of young people
