New information website for parents in Hungary now live

Gyerekaneten.hu, (which means, in Hungarian, "Child on the net") a dictionary-structured website operated by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) was launched on Sunday, 1 March 2020. The website sets out to provide parents with a brief translation and explanation of the digital world in which their children seem to navigate with confidence.

Activities of the Hungarian hotline on Safer Internet Day 2019

In Hungary, widespread online abuse where "content is made accessible without permission" spurred five Communication and Media Science BA students from the Corvinus University of Budapest to produce a film that was supported by National Media and Infocommunications Authority. Now, to mark Safer Internet Day 2019, it was promoted – with consent from the authors – as part of a mini-campaign on YouTube.

Hungarian Internet Hotline redesigned and rebuilt

The Hungarian Internet Hotline, operated by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, has recently launched a brand-new hotline website with a new logo and content. The Internet Hotline has been operating in Hungary since 2011 and it was time to refresh the website and provide up-to-date and relevant information. On the new website, the reporting interface has been transferred to the home page and legal information on the nine reporting categories is also provided. It is also now easy to report illegal or harmful content via mobile phones.

The digital future through a child's eye – SID 2018 in Hungary
