To foster Europeans' interest in internet governance issues and to ensure that a proper dialogue takes place on a regular basis and in a participatory manner, EuroDIG - the European Dialogue on Internet Governance - was established in 2008 as an open, multi-stakeholder platform as a key European point of reference on exchanging views about the internet and how it is governed. EuroDIG is not a conference, it is more of a year-round dialogue on politics and digitisation across the whole European continent, culminating in an annual event.Read more

Safer Internet Armenia was actively involved in the recent EuroDIG session "From internet users to digital citizens" held in Tallinn, Estonia, on 7 June 2017. The session, co-organised by the Internet Society European Affairs Bureau, gathered experts from business, government, academia and civil society to discuss what digital literacy means in today's internet environment and how the existing skill sets can be upgraded. Successful examples of digital literacy initiatives were examined and best digital skills strategies at community level were debated.Read more

The 2017 edition of EuroDIG (the pan-European dialogue on internet governance) was a milestone event in the field, particularly as it celebrated its 10th anniversary and brought together an impressive number of stakeholders committed to fostering dialogue on the digital future. "The 10th EuroDIG is history. From 6-7 June around 600 participants have been warmly welcomed in Tallinn by the digital citizens of Estonia" stated the EuroDIG secretariat one week after the conference came to an end.Read more
