Latvia: 16,000 young people take part in "Challenge your grey cells!"

Fighting disinformation in the EU – Progress and lessons learned

BEE SECURE takes a deep dive into disinformation at the Privacy Salon

The Luxembourg digital Privacy Salon is a free event about privacy in a digital context, intended for everyone, where no prior technical expertise is assumed. It takes place around 10 times a year with a different topic each time and has been running for six years, with formal support from BEE SECURE (coordinators of the Luxembourg Safer Internet Centre (SIC)) since 2017.

Training day for CyberSafety Youth Panel in Cyprus

Within the framework of the European co-funded project ‘CΥberSafety – Better Internet for Kids' (https://www.cybersafety.cy/)  the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education and Culture organised a training day for the members of the CYberSafety Youth Panel, Cyprus. The training day was held at the campus of the University of Cyprus in Nicosia on Saturday, 2 February 2019, and was attended by forty students.

Next steps against fake news

The European Commission (EC) has launched a public consultation on fake news and online disinformation, and set up a High-Level Expert Group (HLIG) representing academics, online platforms, news media and civil society organisations.
