14th International Conference Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online

Experts from all over Europe will gather to discuss a broad spectrum of issues related to the safety of children and young people on the internet. This year's conference programme will include, among others, information threats and online radicalisation, selected negative online phenomena and their prevention, mental wellbeing of the youth, and online gender stereotypical behaviour. Among speakers are many leading experts including Prof. David Finkelhor, Dr Jessica Piotrowski and Natasha Devon MBE.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition of the event will be conducted in an online format. The conference will take place on 29-30 September (plenary sessions) and 1-2 October 2020 (conference workshops). The languages of the conference will be English and Polish (simultaneous interpretation is provided).

The event is addressed to representatives of the education sector, non-governmental organisations, the judiciary and law enforcement agencies, as well as providers of internet services and content.

The conference is organised by the Polish and German Safer Internet Centres (SICs), which have been working together within the European Commission’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme. The co-organiser of the event is International Telecommunication Union. The main partner of the conference is the Orange Foundation. The event is held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Ministry of National Education and the Commissioner for Human Rights.
