In conjunction with the INHOPE General Assembly being held in Tallinn, Estonia 31 October – 2 November 2016, INHOPE will host a one-day core training course on 3 November 2016. The objective of this training is to equip hotline staff with the basic skills and knowledge needed to operate an effective hotline and to operate within the framework of INHOPE best practices and procedures. It will also involve basic-level training on the ICCAM system (INHOPE's technology platform for supporting hotlines in their reporting and referral roles, including categorisation and hashing of content). On successful completion of the training, participants will become INHOPE Certified Analysts.
This training is developed for new staff or staff that previously have not been involved in hotline activities. It is assumed that the participants have only basic computer skills and the intention is to bring them from ‘Zero to Hero' over the course of the training. The training is delivered in a class/workshop format where a topic is explained, demonstrated, discussed and then participants practically apply what they learn. It is very hands on and delivered in a step-by-step style using the ‘stairs' principle.
