Online courses to help develop good practice

The European Schoolnet Academy is a platform where you can learn about innovation in the school and classroom through online professional development courses for teachers in primary and secondary schools. Many of the courses focus on developing digital literacy skills which, for both teachers and pupils, can be an essential aspect of helping to contribute to a better internet.

The courses offered on the platform are completely free of charge, and provide an introduction to key concepts and ideas that are relevant to developing practice, and provide an opportunity for participants to discuss ideas and share experiences with peers.

Current courses include:
  • Developing digital skills in your classroom
Digital skills are already an essential requirement for young people to succeed in an increasingly digitised society. Not only are these skills demanded for an increasing number of jobs, they also are a requirement and a right of citizens, if they are to be functional in today's society.
  • Introducing technology-enhanced teaching
Many teachers in Europe still have a lack of competence in using ICT in their teaching and use it only to a small extent in their daily practice. This course can help to boost teachers' competence and confidence to use ICT in the classroom.
