Updated for SID 2019:Twitter
URL: https://twitter.comAbout our SID activities
Twitter has launched a special emoji to celebrate Safer Internet Day. The emoji is activated by the hashtags #SaferInternetDay, #SaferInternetDay2019 and #SID2019. For the first time, this emoji can also be activated by using #SaferInternetDay in 13 other languages from Chinese to Spanish, and Indonesian to Turkish. Twitter will support the work of safety partners across the world through Ads for Good grants and by amplifying their content through our channels. We'll also be organising events in our offices. For example, our Dublin office and EMEA HQ will host a panel discussion featuring a former WBO world middleweight champion and a Senator!
What we are doing to support the SID 2019 slogan of "Together for a better internet"…
Twitter is a longstanding supporter of Safer Internet Day and the vital work of Safer Internet Centres across the UK, Europe, and their counterparts worldwide. In the last year, we have made more than 70 policy, product, and process updates to build a healthier Twitter. We also took a number of steps to help people see high-quality information, strengthening our sign-up processes, account verification and the ways our data can be accessed. You can follow the latest updates @TwitterSafety.
