Russia

A yearly Positive Online Content contest has been organised by the Russian Safer Internet Centre, run together with CCTLD RU since 2010. The contest consists of some hundreds of applications from educators and content providers.

What is more, the rules of the contest became the base on which the Positive Content Criteria  were drafted, as proposed by Child Ombudsman Infosecurity Working Group for adoption on the federal level as part of the government's Children's Decade strategy.

The award ceremony of the contest used to be held during the Premia Runeta, the key prize in the Russian digital ecosystem, but since 2019 the prizes are awarded on Safer Internet Day.

Although we do not have any examples of positive online content in Russian, please check the full gallery of positive online content examples on this website, and the checklist of positive online content criteria.
