Being a relatively small nation, there is not a huge amount of online content and domestic services directed at children in Norway. Many services used are developed and hosted abroad but translated into Norwegian. Additionally, many children defy the language barrier and use content and services aimed at English speakers. Some of the key players on the market are the providers that have traditionally catered to children, such as libraries and broadcasting companies. Resources for parents, children, educators and developers/providers/producers are available through many of the members of the Norwegian Online Safety Network.
