Happy World Children’s Day 2021!

Today, 20 November 2021, we celebrate World Children’s Day, a United Nations observance to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide, and to improve children's welfare.

The first KID_ACTIONS EU Policy, Research and Practitioners Forum is almost here!

In less than two weeks, on the 29 and 30 November 2021, the first KID_ACTIONS EU policy, Research and Practitioners Forum will take place in Trento, Italy. Educators, researchers, youth workers, professors, people from the IT sector and many more, will travel to Trento to take part in this forum on-site or will join the forum online. The different stakeholders will gather to discuss the important matter of preventing and responding to cyberbullying. Make sure to join this event if you are interested in or working (indirectly) on the topic of cyberbullying. 

Insafe network meets online to discuss fake news, misinformation, and disinformation

Today, the Insafe network of European Safer Internet Centres (SICs) begins a two-day training meeting online. This event is an opportunity to facilitate sharing of experience and good practice between network countries, and to explore areas of common ground and opportunities for closer working between awareness raising, helpline, and youth participation strands.

The 2021 edition of the annual Safer Internet Forum (SIF) kicks off today, Wednesday 6 October, with a focus on Shaping a #DigitalDecade4YOUth.

The annual Safer Internet Forum brings together young people, parent and teacher representatives, industry and government policy makers, technological and awareness-raising experts, and political, educational and social leaders from Europe and beyond. This year's edition takes place in November.

The Better Internet for Kids Policy Map was created to compare and exchange knowledge on policy making and implementation in EU Member States on the themes and recommendations of the European Strategy for a Better Internet for Children.

The time children and young people spend online has increased significantly, giving them access to unprecedented opportunities but also exposing them to new risks. To address this new reality, the European Commission is funding four Horizon 2020 projects.
