Malta celebrates successful Safer Internet Day campaign

Safer Internet Day is a global initiative that aims to promote safe and responsible use of online technology and mobile devices, especially among young people. The Maltese Safer Internet Centre, BeSmartOnline, was thrilled with the success they have achieved during this year's celebrations.

Latest helpline trends: Quarter 4, 2022

The Insafe network of helplines collects data about the types of calls they receive and this is analysed every three months in order to look at possible trends and emerging issues. 

CO:RE launches the Education Toolkit

The Education Toolkit was developed by the CO:RE team at European Schoolnet in an extensive consultation process and co-creation workshops with teachers, practitioner, but also young people. The result is a comprehensive toolkit with relevant information and many helpful resources.

Create digital safety through united action

Actions speak louder than words – and with this year presenting two decades of striving for a safer internet, INHOPE looks back on collective action results on the landmark event that Safer Internet Day is. And, as a global network, we look at ourselves and our impact on the association of hotlines across the years.

The annual Safer Internet Forum brings together young people, parent and teacher representatives, industry and government policy makers, technological and awareness-raising experts, and political, educational and social leaders from Europe and beyond. This year's edition takes place on 27 October 2022 in a hybrid format.

The Better Internet for Kids Policy Map was created to compare and exchange knowledge on policy making and implementation in EU Member States on the themes and recommendations of the European Strategy for a Better Internet for Children.
