There is a big interest among Slovenian schools to receive trainings and workshops on online safety for different target groups. SAFE.SI has been actively involved in educating young people, parents and teachers about the opportunities and potential risks of using the internet since 2007. It is the most recognised institution in Slovenia that deals with teaching about online safety. Schools often seek the Awareness Centre's services for improving teachers' as well as pupils' and their parents' knowledge through applying for the centre's workshops and lectures.
The Slovenian Safer Internet Centre (SIC) is supported nationally by a broad network of stakeholders. The main supporter is the Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration which also supports the centre financially. Additionally, a whole range of institutions from public sector organisations and bodies to NGO's, industry players, media, educational organisations and experts support the goal of the Slovenian Safer Internet Centre to create a better internet for all users, and especially children and youngsters.
